BIRMINGHAM FASHION WEEK
BFW was founded on the ideals of bringing unity to our community through fashion. Local and national designers, alongside local and national boutiques, will gather together to promote and inspire our rising stars. Models, make-up and hair stylists will showcase their talents on the runway, while encouraging locals and visitors to explore the creative talents of Birmingham.
Gus Mayer hosted the Official Kick-Off Party for Birmingham Fashion Week 2012 which benefitted the non-profit organization Alabama Forever.

Gus Mayer launched the "Gus Mayer Goes Pink" campaign in Fall of 2010 to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. A percentage of campaign merchandise and sold gift cards were donated to BCRFA.
This year Gus Mayer and the BCRFA will be presenting Christian Siriano´s Spring 2012 Collection in a runway fashion show. The event will take place at Gus Mayer on Tuesday, October 25 with a mix & mingle at 6:00pm and the runway show starting at 7:00pm. LINLY HEFLIN FASHION SHOW
Gus Mayer has been a long time sponsor and partner of the Linly Heflin Unit. Every year, Gus Mayer participates in the Linly Heflin Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show which features fashions from one of Gus Mayer's designers. The long running Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show continues to be the primary fundraiser for its scholarship program which benefits women seeking higher education in Alabama.
